Polymer engineer Rodolfo Gonzalez is making waves in Costa Rica. Using Biofoam technology, he has developed an eco-friendly surfboard that produces a competition-worthy performance.

A GREEN WAY TO SURF

Troubled by how most surfboards are made of non-biodegradable plastic, Rodolfo set out to create an eco-friendly alternative. His current product, Biofoam, is made from a renewable material that stems from a native plant, and it is used by professional surfers at national and world championship competitions. Like the Lexus RX Hybrid, Rodolfo seeks to continually push green thinking and methods, without having to compromise on performance capabilities.

Painter Vincent Serritella is breaking from convention by bridging the gap and blurring the lines between traditional paintings and advanced animation technology. His desire to constantly innovate has resulted in works that break the mold of what’s been done before.

A NEW FORM OF ART

Vincent’s studio is a reflection of his influences: a large computer screen juxtaposed beside ceramic pots filled with paintbrushes and rows of oil colors. Utilizing his training in fine arts and his experience in 3D film animation, he embarked on Project 365. Every day, he would create a new art piece, using techniques from both disciplines such as experimenting with robotic technology to plot large scale drawings. Vincent’s new approach to art is similar to how the Lexus LC was created, an experimental approach that breaks away from the conventional.

Achieving seemingly impossible feats in space while advancing space science is what Lena has set out to do with her company Astro Live Experiences. While it may seem that her quest to construct stunning meteor showers is for pure entertainment, her endeavors will also collect data to better understand climate change and enhance weather forecasting. Her process of delivering an elevated experience mirrors what the pioneering flagship Lexus LS provides.
