BLIND SPOT MONITOR

During lane changes, the BSM uses millimeter wave radar to detect vehicles present in the blind spots (areas in adjacent lanes that cannot be seen using the outer mirrors), and alerts the driver using an indicator in the outer mirror.

LANE DEPARTURE ASSIST

When driving on expressways or automobile-only roads with lane lines using Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, the system helps assist the steering operation required to keep the vehicle in its lane. Enhanced recognition and control performance enable assistance on gentle curves, smoothly keeping the vehicle in the center of its lane with minimal swaying.

PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM VEHICLE DETECTION

When the millimeter-wave radar and monocular camera sensors detect a vehicle, stationary /preceding ahead and determine that a collision is likely, it alerts the driver with a buzzer and on the display. If the driver activates the brakes, pre-collision brake assist supplements the force being applied to the pedal. If the driver cannot depress the brake pedal, the system automatically activates pre-collision braking to help avoid a collision or mitigate the impact force.
